Description
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide derived from helix B of erythropoietin (EPO). It was designed to activate the so-called "innate repair" receptor without stimulating red blood cell production. Lyophilized vial intended exclusively for laboratory research.

About
What is ARA-290?
It is a non-haematopoietic fragment of EPO. It targets the complex formed by the EPO receptor and the common beta receptor (CD131), involved in tissue protection and inflammation.
What the research studies
Phase 2 clinical trials have looked at small-fibre neuropathy associated with sarcoidosis and diabetes. Preclinical models concern neuropathic pain, inflammation and wound healing. This vial remains a research reagent, not a medicine.
