R3TA

R3TA is a synthetic peptide that acts on three receptors at the same time: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. This “triple agonist” is being studied in research on the regulation of metabolism, appetite and weight.

These are two common nicknames for R3TA in research communities. “R3” refers to its action on three receptors, “reta” is a simple abbreviation. We also speak of “R3 pen” or “reta pen” for the pre-filled format.

Nothing to do with the Provençal dish: “ratatouille” is a frequent distortion of the word R3TA. It is the same peptide that you will find here, in a lyophilized vial or in a pre-filled pen.

The freeze-dried vial comes in several strengths and offers the best price per milligram, but it is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water. The pre-filled pen is already reconstituted and ready to use.

Each batch is analyzed by HPLC, which measures purity (≥99% required), and by mass spectrometry, which confirms the identity of the molecule. The batch analysis certificate is available on request.
