Description
AOD 9604 is a 16-amino-acid peptide: fragment 177-191 of human growth hormone, with an added tyrosine. It was developed to study the effect of this fragment on lipolysis, without the effects of the whole hormone on growth. Lyophilized vial intended exclusively for laboratory research.

What is AOD 9604?
"AOD" stands for Anti-Obesity Drug, its development name. Unlike whole growth hormone, it does not raise IGF-1 in published studies.
What the research studies
Animal models concern lipolysis and lipogenesis. A phase 2b clinical trial in overweight adults did not show weight loss greater than placebo, and its development as a medicine was stopped. This vial remains a research reagent.
