Description
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide isolated in 1977 from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits placed in induced sleep. It is studied in animal models of sleep, stress and thermoregulation. Lyophilized vial intended exclusively for laboratory research.

What is DSIP?
It is a nine-amino-acid peptide (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) described by Schoenenberger and Monnier. Its name comes from the increase in delta waves observed in animals; its receptor and mechanism of action remain poorly established.
What the research studies
Publications concern sleep architecture, the stress response and certain endocrine markers, mainly in animals. The few human studies are old, small and with conflicting results. This vial is not a medicine.
