Description
Kisspeptin is a neuropeptide encoded by the KISS1 gene. Its short form, kisspeptin-10 (10 amino acids), activates the KISS1R receptor (GPR54), located upstream of GnRH release in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Lyophilized vial intended exclusively for laboratory research.

What is kisspeptin?
First described as a metastasis suppressor (hence its other name, metastin), it became a major subject in reproductive neuroendocrinology after the discovery of its role in puberty, in 2003.
What the research studies
Work concerns LH and FSH secretion, puberty and reproductive function, in animals and in supervised clinical studies. This vial is not a medicine and does not replace any hormone treatment.
