What is SS-31?
It is a tetrapeptide (D-Arg-dimethylTyr-Lys-Phe) designed to accumulate in the mitochondrion. It is neither a growth hormone secretagogue nor an incretin analogue.
What the research studies
Cardiolipin, mitochondrial respiration and certain oxidative stress models. Several clinical trials exist on the pharmaceutical molecule; this vial remains a research reagent, not that medicine.
