What is thymosin alpha-1?
A synthetic thymic peptide, also called thymalfasin. Zadaxin, where it is authorised, is a pharmaceutical solution dosed for 1.6 mg per injection, twice a week.
Reading a 5 or 10 mg vial
A 5 mg vial reconstituted in 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL: 1.6 mg is then about 0.64 mL. This calculation documents the concentration. It does not turn the vial into a medicine.
