About AHK-Cu

What is AHK-Cu?

AHK-Cu is a tripeptide composed of alanine, histidine and lysine, associated with a copper ion. Its structure is very close to that of GHK-Cu: only one amino acid changes, glycine being replaced by alanine. Like him, it owes its blue color to the copper it carries.

What the research studies

The published work mainly focuses on the hair follicle: proliferation of cells of the dermal papilla and vascularization around the follicle. For this reason, it is found in cosmetic formulations intended for the scalp.

As with most copper peptides, the data comes primarily from cellular studies and animal work.

AHK-Cu or GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is by far the most documented, with half a century of literature on skin and wound healing. AHK-Cu is more recent and more specifically studied on the hair follicle. The two are often compared in publications, rarely opposed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between AHK-Cu and GHK-Cu?

Only one amino acid: alanine replaces glycine. GHK-Cu is mainly studied on the skin and healing, AHK-Cu on the hair follicle.

Why is the powder blue?

The color comes from the copper ion bound to the peptide. A homogeneous blue is normal for this type of molecule.

Is AHK-Cu authorized as a medicine?

No. It has no marketing authorization: it is a research peptide, intended for the laboratory only.

Is the reconstitution kit included?

The kit (bacteriostatic water and set of 10 syringes + 10 swabs, at €0) is free from €99.99. Below that, ticking them on the product page brings them down to €4.99. Bought on their own, they stay at their catalogue price.

When will my order be shipped?

Orders placed before 2 pm ship the same day. Allow 3 business days in France, Belgium and Luxembourg (Mondial Relay), 3 to 4 days in Germany and Austria, 5 days in the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Poland, and 3 to 6 business days to other countries. Free delivery from €200.

Where to find batch documentation?

The available certificates can be viewed from the Certificates page. Always check that the product and lot number on the document matches your vial.

How to store this product?

Storage and stability conditions depend on the form, batch, container and method. Refer only to the documentation applicable to the lot received.
