What is bacteriostatic water?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol. This agent slows down the proliferation of bacteria once the bottle has been opened, which allows several successive draws, unlike simple, single-use sterile water.

It serves as a solvent to put the lyophilized peptides back into solution.

Withdraw the necessary quantity with a sterile syringe. Reconstitute the lyophilized peptide by injecting slowly against the wall of the vial. Store between 2°C and 8°C after opening. For laboratory research only.
