Bacteriostatic water

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol. It serves as a solvent to put the lyophilized peptides back into solution and allows several successive draws, unlike simple sterile water.

What you need to work properly

A lyophilized vial cannot be handled with bare hands: you need something to put it back into solution, something to take, and something to disinfect the cap between two draws. This is exactly what the accessories in this category cover.

Low volume graduated syringes allow a precise reading, which is not possible with a large capacity syringe. Swabs soaked in alcohol are used to disinfect the rubber stopper before each passage of the needle: this is the gesture that avoids contaminating a bottle intended to last several weeks.

The free kit with your vials

A kit is free with each vial starting at €99.99. It appears in the basket in two lines at €0: bacteriostatic water 3 mL and set of 10 syringes + 10 swabs. The R3TA 20 mg vial is at this price.

Checked with a vial or a pen, the water and the lot go to €4.99. Purchased alone, or from their own sheet, they remain at €9.99. Boxes of 100 do not change price.

The accessories sold separately are also used for restocking: an opened bottle of bacteriostatic water can be kept for 28 days, and the syringes are never reused.

Products intended exclusively for scientific laboratory research. Not intended for human or animal consumption.

Frequently asked questions

Is bacteriostatic water needed for a pre-filled pen?

No: the pen contains the peptide already in solution. Bacteriostatic water is used in freeze-dried vials. The kit (water + 10 syringes + 10 swabs) is available from €99.99 per vial.
