About the MT-2
What is MT-2?
Melanotan II is a cyclic heptapeptide derived from α-MSH. Its cyclic structure makes it more stable than the natural hormone. It interacts with several receptors (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R), resulting in a broader – and more complex – study profile than that of MT-1.
What the research studies
Historical work focuses on pigmentation, appetite, and other functions related to melanocortins. MT-2 is not authorized as a medicine. Our vials are laboratory reagents, without dosage or human use.
