About Semax

What is Semax?

Semax is a heptapeptide (7 amino acids) developed in Russia. It takes fragment 4-7 of ACTH, the adrenocorticotropic hormone (Met-Glu-His-Phe), extended by a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence which makes it more stable.

What the research studies

The work focuses on neuroprotection, cognitive functions and the expression of neurotrophic factors such as BDNF.

What is the difference between the Semax and the Selank?

Both are heptapeptides developed in Russia. Semax derives from ACTH and is studied in cognition; Selank derives from tuftsin and is studied on the stress response.

Are needles included with the pen?

No. The pen is already in solution, without reconstitution kit. A box of 10 or 100 needles, and alcohol pads, are added to the form.
